Learning to Pitch a Fast Ball: Concrete Learning
The design below was a response to a class project for the Graduate Cognitive studio. We studied Kolb's Matrix of learning styles which addresses the processing and perceiving continuums.
In this project, my goal was to teach an active-concrete learner how to pitch a fastball. I attempted this through the use of video and an interactive timeline that visualizes discrete moments in time that would otherwise be invisible to the student. The application tracks and visualizes the pitchers motion as it occurs in time.
