Global [heart] Local NCSU Design Symposium Poster
This Poster was designed to generate discussion at the NCSU Design Symposium roundtable "The relationship between the Handcraft and the Digital." This was a discussion that I moderated with Tyler Galloway (Kansas City Art Institute Faculty). I designed all the typefaces composed of lines, while Tyler designed all the typefaces composed of circular dots.
The project moved back and forth through many digital and analog composition tools including pencil, computer, laser cutter, hand saws, and letterpress printing. This poster won an Honerable Mention in the international graphic design competition Input/Output, and is reprinted in the Output Yearbook 9, NCSU Windhover 2006, and Six Degrees Journal.
